Unsolicited advice,
From strangers, friends, and foes alike,
They pour their thoughts like rolling dice,
Expecting us to heed and spike.

But we are not a blank slate,
Nor their words hold absolute fate,
We have our minds, our own plate,
We choose the course of our own gait.

So let the unsolicited fade,
Like a fleeting, transient parade,
For we are the ones who make the grade,
In the paths of our own crusade.

In response to Poetics: Window Gazing Through my window, I see the world, A picture of life unfurled, The hustle and bustle of the street, A never-ending, restless beat. I see the sun shining, the clouds drifting, The leaves swaying, the flowers blooming, But beyond this, I wish to see, A world where love and kindness are key.
