The little brown squirrel scurried along the fence, his small paws barely making a sound on the wood. He had a mission to accomplish, and he wouldn't stop until he succeeded. Finally, he reached his destination: a small wooden letterbox attached to a tree.

Without hesitation, the squirrel poked his head into the box, sniffing around for any signs of his quarry. He had heard that the humans often left little treats and snacks in these boxes, and he was determined to find them. But no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't find anything.

Just as he was about to give up, the squirrel heard a faint rustling coming from inside the box. Curious, he poked his head in further, and to his surprise, he found a small note tucked away in the corner.

It read: "Dear little squirrel if you're reading this, I want you to know that I've left a special surprise for you at the base of the post. Enjoy!"

Overjoyed, the squirrel scampered down the post and sure enough, found a small pile of nuts and seeds waiting for him. With a full belly and a happy heart, the little squirrel scampered off into the forest, grateful for the unexpected kindness of a stranger.
