On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Opposition parties and asserted that the country has a strong foundation of constitutional institutions. He accused some parties of starting 'Bhrashtachari Bachao Abhiyan' and asserted that his government's crackdown on corruption will not halt due to false accusations.

After inaugurating the newly constructed central office of the BJP in New Delhi, PM Modi stated that constitutional institutions are being targeted to prevent India. When agencies take action, they are attacked, and the courts are questioned, according to him.

The Prime Minister's comments come at a time when almost all Opposition parties have joined forces to protest against Rahul Gandhi's disqualification as an MP, which they term the BJP's "vindictive politics." The Opposition camp has condemned the decision as "authoritarian" and chastised the central government, saying the country is heading toward "dictatorship."

PM Modi hailed the rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the only pan-India party amid family-run political outfits in the country, saying that it worked on the ground rather than engaging in the blame game. He added that the country can never forget the black phase of 1984 and that Congress got a historic mandate in those elections. "We were completely destroyed in that wave, but we weren't demoralized and didn't blame others," he said. He also said that the party's journey began with two Lok Sabha seats and now stands at 303.

During the event, PM Modi also attacked the UPA government for cases lodged under the PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002). He said that assets worth Rs 5,000 crore were seized under PMLA during its tenure, while it rose to Rs 1.10 lakh crore during BJP's 9-year government.
