A View From My Window

"A poem in the syllabic form about the view outside a human's window"

In response to

TankaTuesday Weekly #Poetry Challenge No. 313, 3/28/23

Gazing out my window pane,
A world beyond, never mundane,
Golden sunbeams start to wane,
Softly fading, with no strain.

The sky turns a dusky hue,
Birds fly home, their day is through,
Crickets chirp, frogs start to woo,
Nightfall brings a fresh debut.

Silent streets, and peaceful sights,
Fading into tranquil nights,
The world slows down and invites,
Calmness comes and ignites.

My window view, a source of bliss,
A chance to escape, for a moment's kiss,
To witness beauty, and reminisce,
And feel the world's gentle caress.
