Reflecting Essence: A Quadrille Poem

Reflecting Essence

Mirror, mirror, reflecting my soul,
In glassy depths, stories unfold.
Whispered secrets, etched upon your face,
Mirrored truths, with elegant grace.
You hold my image, both flaws, delight,
Reflecting essence, in purest light.
Mirror, companion, my faithful guide,
Revealing my journey, by your side.

  1. Such an interesting way to think about a mirror--reflecting not simply the body, but also the soul. There's a lovely flow to your words and rhyme scheme.

Makes me think of those moments we look in mirrors and really “see” the essence of beauty that lies within.❤️

  3. The mirror is the best place to see our true selves, not the facades or blemishes, but the soul within. I enjoyed your quadrille.

  6. The way you think about the mirror of the soul rings deep. Made me think of texts of religious texts... through the mirror darkly.
